Visiting an Alien Civilization

Imagine visiting an alien civilization where you make the following observations -

1. 80% (or more) aliens doing things they don't like or don't want to do.

2. Aliens ready to kill so that they get goodies when they cease to exist.

3. Aliens changing goals after achieving what they previously set and continuing to burn themselves day and night till they die.

4. Aliens wearing masks when they are around other aliens or being watched. These masks make them say things which are generally acceptable but when they are alone and not being watched, they might think and do things completely opposite to what the mask said.

5. Aliens loving inanimate objects and distrustful/hateful towards fellow aliens.

6. Every alien thinking he is more important than others and he knows it all.

7. Alien lives being governed by a non living object (watch). They get up, go to the same structure everyday, come back to where they got up and recharge their batteries for doing the same next day. They feel anxious if the watch says they are late and should have been there early.

8. Aliens hearing what other people are buying from the manufacturers and owners of product and buying it solely because others supposedly bought it, not because they needed it.

9. Aliens eating nicely packaged garbage to make themselves sick and then taking medicines which might cure their specific illness but causes other issues which need other medicines and the cycle keeps going on.

10. Aliens constantly comparing themselves to virtual aliens (which might or might not exist) and feeling depressed if they are not doing better than them on yardsticks created by some unknown aliens.

11. Aliens living in toxic places where they get sick when there are so many beautiful and healthy places with very less population.

12. Aliens destroying things which make life possible on their planet (trees and water in our case).

13. Aliens thinking the process which created them is something which shouldn't be discussed openly - it's a sin because some aliens who might have existed millions of years back said so and which can cause harm to them post death (sex)

Think about it - this is a story of an alien visiting human civilization. He would be flabbergasted and go back laughing and thinking he found the biggest assholes on this universe. His friends back home wouldn't believe his stories thinking it's impossible such morons even exist - the idiots who believe that they are best things to have happened to this universe - what a joke!

I believe in only what I can see - Bullshit!

Recently somebody said he doesn't believe in God because he hasn't really seen him. But then I asked him a few questions - # Do you believe in Oxygen? # Do you believe in black holes? # Do you believe in Gravity? # Do you believe in love? # Do you believe in anger? Deception: Good Intentions ---> Ugly Consequences!

It’s a tricky headline, right! Counter-intuitive maybe as common sense says bad intentions mostly lead to ugly consequences but even good intentions cause a lot of havoc in our daily lives, everyday and everywhere around us. Let’s go a little deeper. Don’t you observe ‘good’ people trying to do the best for others – shielding them from sadness, pain, disappointment etc. etc. by hiding things from them which ends up messing things up even more?
